Driving Directions for St. Pius X in Manoa Valley (updated 10/31/03)

From Waikiki (via McCully):

  1. Head West (Ewa) out of Waikiki on Ala Wai Blvd.


  2. Stay in the far right lane and turn right onto McCully at the traffic light (crossing the bridge over the Ala Wai canal).


  3. Stay in the right lane and turn right at the next intersection onto Kapiolani Blvd. Get into the left lane as soon as possible.


  4. Proceed along Kapiolani Blvd. about .4 mile. On your left you will pass Isenberg, then Hausten Streets. Take the next left, which is University Avenue.


  5. Go up (Mauka) University Avenue passing the University of Hawaii on your right. After about 1.5 miles, University Avenue will veer to the right for about a block and the street name will change to Oahu Avenue. Stay in the right lane and turn right at the next intersection, which is Oahu Avenue and East Manoa Road.
  6. Continue about 3/4 mile on East Manoa Road, passing Manoa Valley Shopping Center on your right. Turn left on Lowrey Avenue and go about half a block. St. Pius X is on the left.
From Hawaii Kai/Kahala (via H-1):
  1. Take H-1 West and exit onto University Avenue


  2. Go up University Avenue passing the University of Hawaii on your right. After about 0.8 miles, University Avenue will veer to the right for about a block and the street name will change to Oahu Avenue. Stay in the right lane and turn right at the next intersection, which is Oahu Avenue and East Manoa Road.
  3. Continue about 3/4 mile on East Manoa Road, passing Manoa Valley Shopping Center on your right. Turn left on Lowrey Avenue and go about half a block. St. Pius X is on the left.
From Ewa (Airport, Pearl Harbor, etc. via H-1):
  1. Take H-1 East to the Punahou Exit (Exit 23). Stay in the left or middle lane to turn left onto Punahou Street.


  2. Proceed up Punahou Street in the right lane for about a mile until you come to a fork in the road. There is no stop required so just veer right at the fork onto East Manoa Road.


  3. After the fork, continue about one mile, passing Manoa Valley Shopping Center on your right. Turn left on Lowrey Avenue and go about half a block. St. Pius X is on the left.
From Windward O'ahu (via Likelike, H-3 or Pali Hwy):
  1. Take Likelike, H-3, or Pali Hwy until it connects with H-1 East.


  2. Take H-1 East to the Punahou Exit (Exit 23). Stay in the left or middle lane to turn left onto Punahou Street.


  3. Proceed up Punahou Street in the right lane for about a mile until you come to a fork in the road. There is no stop required so just veer right at the fork onto East Manoa Road.


  4. After the fork, continue about one mile, passing Manoa Valley Shopping Center on your right. Turn left on Lowrey Avenue and go about half a block. St. Pius X is on the left.
